MANILA, Philippines — Lumobo nang 36% ang nahawaan ng COVID-19 habang sumisipa ang influenza-like illnesses habang lumalapit ang Pasko, ayon sa pinakahuling tala ng Department of Health (DOH).
Umabot sa 1,821 bagong kaso ng nakamamatay na virus ang naitala mula ika-5 hanggang ika-11 ng Disyembre, mas mataas kumpara sa 1,340 noong nakaraang linggo:
“Sa 13 namatay, tatlo ang nangyari nitong Disyembre 2023 at 10 naman nitong NObyembre 2023,” ayon sa DOH ngayong Martes sa Inggles.
“Noong ika-10 ng Disyembre 2023, mayroong 228 na malubha at kritikal na pasyente na naka-admit sa ating mga ospital dahil sa COVID-19.”
Ang paglobo ng mga kaso ay nangyayari habang inaasahan ng DOH ang pagtaas ng ILIs sa mga susunod na araw at linggo.
Sina sabing 176 o 13.6% ng 1,298 na intensive case unit beds para sa mga COVID-19 patients ang okupado sa ngayon.
Nangyayari ito ngayong 78 milyong indibidwal o 100.44% na ng target population ang bakunado laba n sa COVID-19 habang 23 milyon naman ang naturukan na ng booster shots.
Gayunpaman, 7.1 milyong senior citizens pa lang, o 82.16% ng target A2 population ang nabigyan ng primary series. Sila ang sinasabing pinakabulnerable sa matitinding sintomas ng sakit.
Ayon sa DOH, umabot na sa 4.12 milyong kaso ng COVID-19 ang naitatala ngayon sa ba nsa simula nang makapasok ang virus sa Pilipinas noong 2020.
Nanatiling 3,876 sa mga kaso ang nagpapagaling pa rin habang 66,779 ang patay na sa virus. Sa kabutihang palad, 4.05 milyon ang nag-recover na sa naturang sakit.
