Shopwise bike fest enjoys full Imus backing

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya star Coco Martin dedicated his “Batang Quiapo” award to the late actress Jaclyn Jose and Dreamscape head Deo Endrinal.

“Batang Quiapo” won “Popular TV Program-Primetime Drama” at the recent Box Office Entertainment Awards presented by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial S cholarship Foundation (GMMSF), Inc.

“Inaalay n amin ‘to kay Mommy Jane, Sir Deo. Para sa ‘yo ‘to, Mommy Jane,” Coco said. 

“Sa lahat ng bosses ng ABS-CBN na patuloy naniniwala at sumusuporta sa amin para magkatrabaho kasamahan natin sa industries, para sa inyo ito. Nandito kami para maghanapbuhay, para lahat mabigyan ng opportunity,” he added. 

Coco said that the achievement is a team effort. 

“Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam kasi pinaghihirapan namin buoin lahat ang ‘BQ.’ Salamat sa buong team, creatives, directors, staff and crew, and lahat ng tumatangkilik at sumusubaybay gabi-gabi,” he said.

“Napaka-important nito. Ito ang paraan magtulong-tulong ang industriya para masabi natin buhay ang pelikula at telebisyon sa Pilipinas.”

MANILA, Philippines – The Shopwise Bike Fest will kick off on Sunday, May 19, at the Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus City, Cavite with full support from the host city and venue, promising a seamless experience dedicated to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

Mayor Alex Advincula has highlighted Imus City’s commitment to elevating the event, while Vermosa further cements its status as a premier venue, having recently hosted Cycle PH, ensuring participants exceptional experience marked by excitement and excellence.

A three-day expo begins Wednesday, May 15, at the Ayala Mall Circuit, Activity Center in Makati where participants can collect their ride kits, including an exclusive Shopwise bike jersey and a participation bib. The event features three adult categories covering distances of 45km, 30km and a 60km for individual and corporate Open, catering to all skill levels. Additionally, youngsters aged 2 to 15 will have their own categories, guaranteeing inclusivity for the entire family,

To enhance the experience for cycling enthusiasts, certain roads will be temporarily closed during the event, organized by The IRONMAN Group. The Shopwise Bike Fest caters to a diverse range of bike enthusiasts, including those interested in road bikes, BMX, mountain bikes, gravel bikes and foldable bikes.

However, fixies and e-bikes are excluded from participation to prioritize safety and fairness.

The host city is eager to potentially host the event again next year, further establishing its reputation for community-centric activities, while Vermosa Sports Hub reiterates its commitment to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle within the community and hopes to continue hosting such enrich events in the future.
