MANILA, Philippines \u2014 Actress Claudine Barretto revealed that she’s trying to recover millions of pesos from an ex-husband.<\/p>\n
In her interview with Luis Manzano, Claudine vowed to get back the millions of pesos for her kids.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re talking about hundreds of millions na. Ang iniwan sa akin was P25,000. Sa isang bangko pa lang was, like, P116 million. Isang bangko pa lang ‘yun. And iniwan was P25,000. And I don\u2019t know kung bakit kahit na or whatever, dapat sinasabihan ka ng bangko, ‘di ba?” Claudine said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAng ibinalik lang niya sa akin nu\u2019n, during that time, was P7 million. We were still together. Kasi nga, kukunin pa niya sa sino ‘yung mga pinagtaguan niya nu’ng perang ‘yun.<\/p>\n
\u201cKasi, ayoko siyang matulad sa parang na, you know, ‘yung tatay ng mga anak ko magnanakaw. Ayoko, ayoko. Kaya hindi ko nilaban ‘yung pera noon.”<\/p>\n
Claudine said that the case is now in court.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut now na lumalaki ‘yung mga anak ko, ta\u2019s kukunin mo ‘yung bahay, ‘yung bahay namin, du\u2019n na, ‘yun na ‘yung sinabi ng lahat ng tao, \u2018Okay. Magba-VAWC (Violence Against Women and Children) na tayo,’\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cKukunin ko na kung ano ‘yung dapat sa akin. Mag-labasan na tayo. Sige na,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The actress said that she needed the money now because her kids want to study abroad.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cNgayon, sinc e malaki na ang mga anak ko, Sabina wants to study abroad, Santino\u2019s in Brent and alam naman natin kung gaano kamahal \u2018yun,” she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, parang since hindi niya nabibigay \u2018yung support na in-order ng court, hindi nasusunod.\u00a0Parang \u2018yun \u2018yung sinasabi ng mama na \u2018Ipaglaban mo,\u2019\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Claudine said that she’s thankful to Luis’ mother, Vilma Santos, for giving her encouraging words.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cTalagang sabi ko, \u2018Ate Vi, pabalik ako.\u2019 So, kung may mga court cases na naman, baka makaantala ‘yun sa mga proje cts na darating. Tapos sabi niya, \u2018As long as you show them that you\u2019re working hard, you\u2019re professional, ipaglaban mo, Claudine. Ipaglaban mo ‘yung pagiging nanay mo,” she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201c’Ipaglaban mo,\u2019 sabi niya. \u2018Pumunta ka sa korte. Mag-demanda ka,\u2019 sabi niya. \u2018Ipaglaban mo ‘yung pagiging nanay mo. Ipaglaban mo ‘yung pagiging asawa mo, pagiging wife mo. Ipaglaban mo lahat ‘yun. Kunin mo kung ano ‘yung nawala sa’yo.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd your mom told me lang na, \u2018Continue working, kasi nandiyan na. Nandiyan na ‘yung mga trabaho mo. Pero ipaglaban mo. Kunin mo kung ano ‘yung para sa’yo.’\u201d<\/p>\n
Claudine did not mention the\u00a0name of her ex-husband, but the actress has been\u00a0estranged from her husband, actor Raymart Santiago.
